The following rules and regulations governing bathing suits were
adopted at a conference of representatives of the various
park boards and private beach owners and will be enforced hereafter:
Bathers at all bathing beaches must conform to the following prescribed standards for bathing suits: GENERAL -- No all white or flesh colored suits permitted, nor suits that expose the chest lower than a line drawn on a level with the arm pits. LADIES -- Blouse and bloomer suits may be worn, with or without skirts, with or without stockings, providing the blouse has one-quarter arm sleeve or close fitting arm holes and providing the bloomers are full and not shorter than four inches above the knee (top of patella). Jersey knit suits may be worn, with or without stockings, providing the suit has skirt or skirt effect, with one-quarter arm sleeves or close fitting arm holes and trunks not shorter than four inches above the knee (top fo patella), the bottom of the skirt must not be shorter than two inches above the bottom of the trunk. MEN -- Men's suits must have skirt effect, or shirt worn outside of trunks, except when flannel knee pants with belt and fly front are worn. The trunks must not be shorter than four inches above the knee (top of patella) and the skirt must not be shorter than two inches above the bottom of the trunks. [ in 1916 ] |

Následující pravidla a předpisy ohledně koupacích úborů byly přijaty
na konferenci zástupců různých rad pro parky a majitelů soukromých pláží
a budou od nynějška zavedeny:
Koupající se na všech plážích musí dodržet následující předepsaný standart pro koupací úbory: VŠEOBECNĚ -- Nejsou povoleny žádné úbory, jež jsou celé bílé nebo mají barvu těla, ani úbory, které odhalují hrudník níže než spojnice mezi podpažími. DÁMY -- Úbory s blůzou a "bloomers" se smějí nosit se sukněmi nebo bez, s punčochami i bez, za předpokladu, že blůza má rukávy do čtvrtiny paže nebo těsně přiléhající otvory pro paže a za předpokladu, že bloomers jsou kompletní a delší než čtyři palce (10cm) nad kolena (kolenní kloub). Tkané bavlněné šaty se se smějí nosit s punčochami i bez, za předpokladu, že šaty mají sukni nebo tvar do sukně a rukávy do čtvrtiny paže nebo těsně přiléhající otvory pro paže, a nohavice končí maximálně 10cm nad kolenním kloubem, spodní část sukně nesmí být více než 5cm nad spodní částí nohavic. MUŽI -- Pánské úbory musí končit do sukňovitého tvaru překrývaje trenýrky, kromě flanelových trenýrek po kolena s páskem a přezkou. Trenýrky nesmí být kratší než 10cm na klenním kloubem.
